Diary Cat Privacy Policy
Developer: Dojoism
Effective date: May 1, 2026 · App: Diary Cat · Contact: support@dojoism.com
Introduction
This privacy policy describes how Diary Cat, developed by Dojoism, handles your personal data. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about what data we collect and why.
Diary Cat is designed with privacy as a core principle. We collect the minimum data necessary for the app to function, and we store it on your device.
Data we collect
Diary Cat may collect the following types of user-generated content (such as notes, tasks, diary entries, or learning progress):
- Diary entries (text) you write
- Photos you attach to diary entries
- Entry dates and times
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location data, contacts, browsing history, device identifiers, or any data not directly entered by you within the app.
How we use your data
The data collected by Diary Cat is used solely to provide the app's functionality to you. Specifically:
- To display your data within the app as you expect
- To persist your data between sessions so you don't lose your work
- To sync your data across your devices if you enable iCloud sync
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, machine learning training, or any purpose other than operating the app for your benefit.
Data storage
On-device storage: All diary data is stored on your device using iOS's encrypted secure storage. No diary content is transmitted to Dojoism servers.
iCloud Sync (optional): If you enable iCloud sync in Diary Cat, your data is synced through Apple's CloudKit infrastructure. This sync is encrypted end-to-end. Dojoism has no ability to read or access the contents of your iCloud data. Apple's privacy policy governs the handling of iCloud data.
Third-party services
Diary Cat does not include any third-party advertising SDKs, social media trackers, or behavioral analytics libraries. No data is shared with third parties.
Your rights and control
You have full control over your data at all times:
- Access: All your data is visible within the app at any time.
- Export: Use the export function in Settings to download your data.
- Deletion: Delete individual entries within the app, or uninstall the app to delete all data from your device.
- iCloud: If you use iCloud sync, you can disable it in your device Settings and delete the associated iCloud data from Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage.
Children's privacy
Diary Cat is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information through this app, please contact us at support@dojoism.com and we will take appropriate action.
Data security
All data stored by Diary Cat is protected by iOS's built-in device encryption. On devices with a passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID, your app data is encrypted at rest. We follow Apple's best practices for secure data storage and do not implement any custom encryption that could weaken these protections.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this privacy policy — particularly regarding what data we collect or how we use it — we will update the effective date at the top of this page and notify you via an in-app message on next launch. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
Continued use of Diary Cat after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
