Frequently asked questions
Common questions
Yes. Your diary data is stored in iOS's secure storage, protected by your device's encryption. If you enable biometric lock, the app also requires Face ID or Touch ID to open.
If you have iCloud Backup enabled for your device, Diary Cat data is included in your encrypted device backup. The contents are encrypted by Apple and are not accessible to Dojoism.
When writing or editing an entry, tap the photo icon in the toolbar. You can choose from your photo library or take a new photo.
Go to Settings → Security → Enable Biometric Lock. You can use Face ID, Touch ID, or a passcode as a fallback.
Yes. Go to Settings → Export Diary to save all entries as a JSON or plain text archive. You can use this as a backup or to move your diary elsewhere.
Diary Cat stores only what you write — text entries and any photos you attach. This data never leaves your device except through your encrypted iCloud backup, which Dojoism cannot access.
